Northern Lights in Northern Sweden

We saw the northern lights!

We actually took a 16 hour train from Stockholm to get to Kiruna in the north of Sweden. We were definitely within the Polar Circle! We slept in a 6 person cabin, 2 Swedes, 1 German, 1 Colombian, 1 Chinese, and 1 American. The seats pivot from the wall and 6 beds are formed in this one tiny compartment!

Here is a video from the morning! The view out the window had transformed into a beautiful snowy wonderland with a pink sky and soft light.

In Kiruna we got to see some impressive ice sculptures, adorable houses, take a spa, go to Abisko National Park, Dog Sledding, and see the Ice Hotel! We ate really delicious food and fed some reindeer (unrelated events).
